New premises – The Old Forge Community Hub

We have moved from Market Square to The Old Forge, rear of 45 High Street, Hailsham.

This new space has allowed us to have our whole operation under one roof and to expand on the services we offer.

The foodbank, by referral only, is open 10-12noon Tuesday – Friday.

The Community Fridge, open to all, is open 10.30-12noon Tuesday – Friday.  It can get busy when it opens so best to come after 11am unless you are happy to take a time slot and return within half an hour.

We also have various organisations in to offer support to those who need it.  This includes Citizens Advice, Energise Sussex, Community Money Advice, Volunteer Hub and others coming from September.  This is an expansion of what we were able to offer at Market Square, but are able to open it up more with the larger space.

We are a local, independent charity and are only able to provide this service with the support of the community, through food and monetary donations.  We are also able to apply for grants for some aspects of our work, but these are highly competitive in the current climate.

If you make use of any of our services, other than the foodbank, we would ask you to consider making a donation so that we are able to continue this work in the community and have help on hand for those who need it.
